A sexual assault lawsuit brought by a former ABC 'Good Morning America' producer against Michael Corn, now president of NewsNation, was dismissed Wednesday by a New York judge who ruled the statute of limitation on the allegations had run out.

A sexual assault lawsuit brought by a former ABC “Good Morning America” producer against Michael Corn, now president of NewsNation, was dismissed by a New York judge who ruled the statute of limitations had run out.

Michael Corn, former senior executive producer for ABC News'"Good Morning America," is president of news for Chicago-based cable network NewsNation. On Wednesday, a New York judge dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit that was filed against Corn and ABC last year by a former ABC News producer. “We are very pleased that Judge Jaffe acknowledged that the claims against Michael have no legal merit,” said Meredith Cavallaro, a New York attorney who represented Corn in the case.

While the judge dismissed the quid pro quo sexual harassment allegations brought by Crawford against Corn and ABC, the network did not move to dismiss the hostile work environment claim, so it remains ongoing against the company. Crawford left ABC in December, according to Williams.
