NEW: Threats of thunderstorms, hail and possible tornadoes loom over northeast Colorado with several areas under a severe thunderstorm warning.

A severe thunderstorm watch is issued for parts of northeastern Colorado, southeastern Wyoming, southwestern Nebraska and northeastern Kansas, according to the National Weather Service. The watch is active until 10 p.m. Mountain Time, and forecasters expect scattered hail, winds up to 75 mph and possible tornadoes. The weather advisory warns of potential tornadoes, scattered hail up to softball-sized and strong wind.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming until 10 PM MDT
