Daylight SkyEye video showed the stable completely destroyed after the fire was put out. Arson was investigating what exactly sparked the flames.
A fire broke out inside a stable and killed several horses in northeast Houston early Friday morning.
Houston Fire Department crews were called to a home in the 4800 block of Linn Street around 2 a.m. and arrived to find a large horse barn fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters acted quickly and were able to get the flames under control. Officials estimate that 15-20 horses were killed in the fire. Three horses were transported with severe burns but were euthanized at the BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions.Orozco is one of the tenants at the neighborhood property known locally as the Linn Street Stables in Kashmere Gardens."It is a loss of life because I'm pretty sure a lot of people's hearts are broken, shattered into pieces," he said.A public information officer with HFD said that they have not been able to contact the property owner as of Friday.
