Seven persons were rescued yesterday when a two-storey building collapsed at 12 Cameroun Street, off Ewenla, in the Mushin

area of Lagos State.

It was rumoured that a child died after he had been rescued alive. Officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency however denied the claim, stressing that the most critical cases were responding to treatment. It said failing this, the agency shall be compelled to invoke relevant sections of the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2019.
