The proposed expansion, as outlined in a May 2021 issue paper, directed CBRM staff to carry out the feasibility study on a possible Centre 200 expansion, done on the condition of securing federal and provincial funding, with the municipality chipping in $30,000. • Constructing one storey plus a mezzanine in building height, within current CBRM property boundaries. This would include four sheets of curling ice and a multipurpose gymnasium both located on the ground level, with a gross floor area of 4,616 square metres; and estimated capital costs of just over $27.5 million. This would be located on the north-east corner of the existing Centre 200 building
