Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office saw a change in its upper ranks this spring with the departure of director of parliamentary affairs and issues management Alexander Jagric. Photograph courtesy of LinkedIn Jagric left the Prime Minister’s Office in early May after almost a year leading its parliamentary affairs and issues management unit as director, having first stepped into the role on an acting basis last August.
His past experience includes a 2021 summer internship with the ministers’ regional office in Calgary—one of 16 such offices which support the federal cabinet—and time spent as a customer service representative with BMO Financial Group, and as a volunteer co-ordinator on now-former Liberal MP Kent Hehr’s ultimately unsuccessful 2019 re-election campaign.
