There’s also talk the Melnyk family would like to hold onto as much as 10% stake or at least a small part of the team. A source told this newspaper Vancouver-born actor Ryan Reynolds will be right in the thick of the purchase of this team.
All you have to do is look at the tremendous success that Reynolds and Rob McIlhenney have had since they purchased Wrexham FC two years ago. They’ve done a great job getting the team into the community, growing the brand and the Welsh soccer team is now getting international exposure.
