The limited series is based on the true story of Texas housewife Candy Montgomery, who was accused of brutally killing her friend Betty Gore in 1980. The show details Montgomery’s extramarital affair with Gore’s husband that led to the murder. ZDT’s Amusement Park promoted its 15 minutes of fame, posting a snapshot from the show with the caption “So excited to be a part of #LoveandDeath now streaming on HBO Max! Check it out!”
