in the Lexicon shopping center; the hub has been supporting refugees who have fled Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February 2022. Her visit coincides with the hub’s one-year anniversary.
During the visit, Kate got hands-on, pitching in to pack boxes containing emergency donations like food and clothing. The boxes will be sent to Ukraine as aid for those directly affected by the conflict. On the corner of one box, Kate penned a personal note in black marker that read: “We are all thinking of you.”She also participated in an arts-and-crafts session with several Ukrainians, who spoke to the royal about their experience leaving home and moving to the United Kingdom. During their chat, Kate learned how to tie a blue and yellow ribbon, representing the colors of the Ukrainian flag, which she later pinned onto her sweater vest.
