Danilo Gonzalez, owner and operator of the Market Family Cafe, said in wanting to move to Hamilton Avenue, it took two application submissions before having his business approved. Gonzalez admits his first application lacked the proper clarifications needed. - Contributed - ContributedDue to issues with his application, regarding parking and being considered a"high-volume" take-out restaurant, Gonzalez said, by the time the application got to council, in February, it was not approved.

“We have a partnership with our landlord, he owns two more properties in the area and we plan to use those for parking. We're leaving Hamilton Avenue available,” said Gonzalez. “At the time, the recommendation was that we reject on grounds that there was no adequate parking. But when it came back to council this time, it seemed folks had gone the other way.”
