Police arrested and charged a 20-year-old Pittsburg resident with one count of murder, in connection to a Brentwood shooting outside a 24 Hour Fitness earlier this month.
BRENTWOOD — A second suspected shooter was arrested and charged in connection to a fight that turned into a deadly shooting outside of a fitness gym earlier this month, police said Friday.
According to police, 20-year-old Faatino Tauane, a Pittsburg resident, was charged with one count of murder with enhancements and additional felonies. He was taken into custody at an Antioch home early Wednesday morning and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.on the 5900 block of Lone Tree Way just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 11, after a confrontation inside the gym near the basketball courts escalated into gunfire outside.
Police say one firearm has been recovered, but the second firearm used in the shooting remains outstanding. The vehicle Tauane allegedly used to flee the scene is in police custody.
