Wilbert Mora, a 27-year-old patrol officer, died Tuesday afternoon, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell announced in a tweet. “Wilbert is 3 times a hero,” Sewell wrote. “For choosing a life of service. For sacrificing his life to protect others. For giving life even in death through organ donation. Our heads are bowed & our hearts are heavy.”that also left his partner, 22-year-old Jason Rivera, dead at an apartment on 135th Street near Lenox Avenue. The suspected gunman, LaShawn McNeil, was also pronounced dead on Monday afternoon.Wilbert is 3 times a hero. For choosing a life of service.
