Your second installment of 2022 Cook County property tax bills will be delayed. Again.
Cook County property owners are set to get a four-month reprieve on their property tax bills, as delays that began more than a year ago have yet to be resolved.
“The COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with a critical overhaul of the technological backbone of the system, has had a dramatic impact on the County’s property tax processes and timelines,” Preckwinkle said in a statement.The second installment of 2021 property taxes were delayed by five months in 2022, records show.
