While there will be no classes on Tuesday, the district said it will give an update tomorrow afternoon on when classes will start. During negotiations, both sides were able to come to a resolution on several key proposals, finally reaching a tentative deal. Teachers had said some of the major sticking points included their wishes for more support for special and multilingual education, smaller class sizes and competitive pay.
