Studies that claim that the coronavirus death rate could be far lower than believed have come under fire by members of the scientific community
Studies out of Stanford University and the University of Southern California, which have not yet been peer-reviewed, claim California communities may have seen up to 80 times the number of coronavirus cases than originally believed based on antibody tests.

[+]In early April, researchers from Stanford tested a non-randomized sample of 3,300 residents of Santa Clara County, California, for coronavirus antibodies, which are believed to show evidence that a person was infected with the disease at one point.
