A deal four years in the making is now coming to a close as the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board have approved the sale of the former Queen Elizabeth School in Picton to Prince Edward County.

Prince Edward County have been attempting to purchase the property with plans to convert the 4.76 acre parcel of land into affordable housing.
