Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch has become a major part of the MCU . Played by Elizabeth Olsen, Wanda Maximoff made her first appearance in the post-credits scenes of 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a volunteer test subject experimented on by Hydra alongside her brother Pietro . Since then, The Scarlet Witch has made appearances in five MCU movies as well as her very own series.
Wanda also gets to share a scene with Clint Barton's Hawkeye during Tony Stark's funeral, each of them mourning the losses of both Black Widow and the Vision. Just like Iron Man, their deaths were critical to the Avengers winning against Thanos and saving the universe from the Decimation. However, the death of the Vision would prove to be a key motivator in Wanda's actions in the MCU movies/series that followed Endgame.
4 Avengers: Age of Ultron Serving as Wanda's first major role in the MCU, Avengers: Age of Ultron provided an incredibly dynamic debut for both Wanda and her brother Pietro aka Quicksilver. Carrying an intense hatred for Tony Stark and the weapons he created that killed their parents, Wanda and Pietro joined forces with the rogue AI villain known as Ultron.
In Civil War, Wanda faces quite a lot of guilt over the events in Lagos while also continuing to progress in her relationship with Vision based on the original comics. By the end of the movie, Wanda concludes that she will never be able to control the fear others may have of her. She can only control her own which leads to Wanda leaving the Avengers' compound and helping Captain America .
