A new SawMovie 10 set photo offers the first look at Tobin Bell's return as franchise villain Jigsaw.
After five years since his character was last seen on screen, a new Saw 10 set photo has revealed the first look at Tobin Bell's Jigsaw return. Plot details are currently unknown for the film, with Jigsaw and Spiral: From the Book of Saw writers Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger returning to pen the script for the horror sequel while Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter's Kevin Greutert also returning to direct.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Less than a month after he was confirmed to be returning, a new Saw 10 set photo emerges from Twitter fan page SawSpace showing the first look at Tobin Bell's Jigsaw return. Though not offering much in the way of insight for the nature of the scene, it does see the franchise icon conversing with a child while reading an unknown book in the park.
Given the majority of the film's sequels saw Bell's Jigsaw through flashbacks, it seems likely his return for Saw 10 will be explained in a similar fashion, with the character even officially getting an autopsy in Saw IV, effectively taking him off the board to come back.
Another possible option for how best to explain Bell's Jigsaw return in Saw 10 would be to have a full prequel storyline exclusively set through the perspective of the character. Given 2017's Jigsaw, penned by the same writers as the next film, saw Bell come back for the final twist reveal of a dual timeline story, it would be interesting to see the horror icon return and properly explore his mentoring Logan or Cary Elwes' Dr. Lawrence Gordon.
