Man United youngster is ticking all the right boxes this summer MUFC
Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage hasn’t had it easy but is making a real impression at Old Trafford this summer.GettyHe has been studying ex-Man United duo Carrick and ScholesSavage has come along way since since the age of 13, when he was previously told by the head of recruitment at another club, that he was ‘not for us, he’s right-footed and can’t run’.
However, the Wales Under-19 international has always been a left-footed player, but did realise he needed to improve his strength – and during the COVID-19 lockdown set up a home gym,The Leicester-born youngster has also been studying clips of former Red Devils midfielders Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes, looking at the way they passed the ball to help improve., in United’s 1-1 draw with Young Boys in the Champions League group stage last season coming on in the 89th minute.
He has come on leaps and bounds since then, and staff are understood to be impressed with his behaviour both on and off the pitch.
