Sam Nicoletta’s ticket was drawn during the school’s 13th annual raffle Jan. 20. The prize package — which includes a five-night, six-day stay in a four-star Phoenix hotel as part of a trip to Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona — is valued at more than $30,000.
“We’re still in shock. I’ve been buying tickets since day one because I’m an alumni of the school, and the school is something I support,” said Nicoletta, speaking with SooToday Tuesday. “One of my kids goes to Korah, so I always support Korah Collegiate. “When I bought my ticket I told one of my colleagues that this is a donation to the school, never thinking I was going to win.”“We’re trying to figure out whether we’re going or not,” he said. “Everything’s still up in the air.”“The school was wonderful to me — the experiences, the friends I still have from the school. There’s always good memories,” he said.
