The puck will drop at 8pm and again at midnight so all ages can enjoy the festivities
Back in March, the community was given the chance to vote between two icons for New Year’s Eve: a ball drop or a puck drop.
Votes were cast, and the puck won! The puck was made from locally sourced steel and constructed by the city’s Public Works Department. There will be lots of other entertainment for all ages this New Year’s Eve, beginning at 6 p.m. with Shari Tallon, who will entertain the little ones in the crowd, followed by Fun and Funner, family entertainment favourites, at 7 p.m.
