“This service is available 24/7, making it easier for community members to start their report at their convenience and while the details are still fresh in their mind,” says a news release issued this morning by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. “Once their report has been started, they must attend the Collision Reporting Centre to have photos taken of their vehicle and finish the report. Collisions must be reported within 15 business days.”The Sault Ste.
"By starting a report online, community members won't have to spend as much time at the police station during what can often be a stressful situation," said Laura Mason-Lacasse, Manager of the Collision Reporting Centre. "It is also a great option for after-hours collisions not requiring police assistance."
