Police say 25-year-old suspect from Ajax ran away from officers during a traffic stop on Dufferin Street; canine unit found him hiding in a backyard on Trelawne Avenue
A 25-year-old from southern Ontario faces a long list of drugs and weapons charges after he allegedly ran away from Sault police officers who pulled over his vehicle last night.
Police say a man bolted from his car around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Dufferin Street, prompting a call to the force’s canine unit.“The accused was breaching his release order and was placed under arrest,” says a news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. None of the allegations have been tested in court and Cranston is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
