The Sault Community Theatre Centre held its first In the Spotlight 50/50 Charity Draw, awarding Charlotte MacDougall a $1,212.50 prize and raising funds for youth programs, productions, and artist development. Building on the turnout, the theatre has started a recurring monthly raffle to sustain its five‑year strategic plan and expand arts access in Sault Ste. Marie.

NEWS RELEASE SAULT COMMUNITY THEATRE CENTRE ************************* The Sault Community Theatre Centre is pleased to announce that its first-ever In the Spotlight 50/50 Charity Draw was a success, marking an exciting milestone in the organization’s efforts to build new and sustainable sources of community support.

The winner of SCTC’s inaugural draw was Charlotte MacDougall, who took home a $1,212.50 cash prize.

“We were thrilled with the response to our first raffle and incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to participate,” said Garrett Abrams, theatre manager/artistic director of SCTC. “Every ticket purchased helps us continue growing arts and cultural opportunities in our community while giving participants the chance to win cash prizes themselves. ” Building on the success of the inaugural draw, SCTC has now launched its next monthly raffle.

Funds raised through the initiative support the theatre centre’s ongoing work, including youth programming, community events, theatrical productions, artist development opportunities, and the implementation of SCTC’s five-year strategic plan. The raffle is part of SCTC’s broader In the Spotlight initiative, an ongoing effort focused on celebrating local talent, supporting artistic growth, and ensuring that arts and culture continue to thrive in Sault Ste. Marie.

The next draw will take place on the first Friday of the month, with the winner announced through SCTC’s social media channels. Community members can learn more and purchase tickets at www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/sctc. By participating, supporters not only have the opportunity to win cash prizes but also play a direct role in helping SCTC continue expanding access to arts and cultural experiences across the region. *************************
