SaturdayNightLive's cast changes continue going into season 48, as Chris Redd now announces he won't be returning to the hit sketch show: 'From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you all enough.'
Chris Redd has announced his decision to leave Saturday Night Live ahead of season 48. The news is just the latest in a string of cast exits for Saturday Night Live. A slew of longtime cast members are confirmed to not be returning for the late-night sketch comedy's upcoming season, including Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, and Melissa Villaseñor, as well as featured player Aristotle Athari.
Deadline reports that Redd, best known on the show for his impressions of Kanye West and Mayor Eric Adams, will not be returning for season 48. Instead, the actor is developing a feature film called Cyber Monday for Universal and releasing his stand-up special, Chris Redd: Why Am I Like This?, on HBO Max later this year. Redd says in a statement:
