Saskatoon police attempted to stop a vehicle after witnessing an alleged drug transaction on Saturday.

Officers saw what they believed to be a “drug transaction” happening in the parking lot of a motel in the 2500 block of 22nd Street West at about 7 p.m. A person believed to beArticle content Officers attempted a “high-risk traffic stop,” and three unmarked police vehicles surrounded the SUV to prevent the driver from trying to flee, but the SUV allegedly rammed two of the vehicles, striking one of the members standing outside of a vehicle in the process, police said. The officer sustained a minor injury and didn’t require treatment.
