RCMP said in a separate media release that the car's four occupants sustained 'serious injuries' in the incident on the Moosomin First Nation.

SIRT was notified about the incident at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, and a team including its civilian executive director and four investigators went to the scene and to the Battleford RCMP detachment to begin the investigation. A community liaison will also be appointed.
