The province provided aThe 2023-24 budget also provides $147.3 million for education capital projects. Of that, $4.4 million will be used to begin planning on five major school capital projects, including a new francophone elementary school in Saskatoon and renovations to Regina’s Campbell Collegiate.

The budget also includes $23 million toward the startup and operation of the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Corporation, which will launch in 2023-24, and $7 million to divisions to retain the more than 200 educational assistants hired since Sept. 2021.
