Here's how you can hear sweet holiday messages from Council Traditional School students.

Council Traditional School students Zoe James, Alena Butt and Cassidy Ann Harris recorded holiday messages on the Mobile County Public Schools' 'fa-la-la' hotline. ‘Tis the season to be jolly. And if you need some help feeling jolly this season, call the “fa-la-la” hotline at 221-FA-LA and start decking those halls.

When you call the hotline, you can press 1 to hear a Christmas message; press 2 for Hanukkah; and press 3 for Kwanzaa. If you press 4, you’ll hear from Ol’ St. Nick himself , reminding you to leave your stocking out for him and go to bed on time on Christmas Eve. The hotline is the brainchild of Asha Staples in the Mobile County Public Schools office of communications. Last spring, she helped create an “Are you okay?” hotline for anyone who needs a little encouragement. That hotline features students from Leinkauf and Griggs Elementary Schools. One of the options is to listen to a group of kindergarteners laugh – because what’s better than the sound of children giggling? 221-RUOK to have your spirits lifted.
