Santa Clara man charged in series of South Bay burglaries

Five cases were reported in Palo Alto between Oct. 22 and May 2, police said.

PALO ALTO – A 23-year-old Santa Clara man is facing multiple criminal charges in connection with a series of residential burglaries between last fall and spring in Palo Alto, police said.

An investigation led to the identification of the man as one of the suspects, the Palo Alto Police Department said in a news release Tuesday. On July 20, detectives obtained a probable cause warrant charging him with five felony counts of residential burglary. Detectives continued their investigation and linked the man to three additional incidents in San Jose and one in Fremont, police said.
