Senator Bernie Sanders and Elon Musk share concerns over Pentagon's inefficient spending, calling for greater effectiveness in defense allocations rather than simply increasing the budget.
Elon Musk is right, declared Sanders in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. The Pentagon , with a $886 billion budget, has failed its seventh audit in a row, losing track of billions. Despite congress' reluctance to address the military spending glut, only 13 senators voted against the Military Industrial Complex and a defense budget filled with waste and fraud last year.
Musk and Sanders agree on the need to strengthen the military by focusing on the effectiveness of defense spending, rather than merely increasing its magnitude
