Police say they’re are searching for a homicide suspect after a man was found dead Wednesday in a San Mateo apartment.
SAN MATEO — A person was found dead Wednesday after a reported stabbing in an apartment across the street from the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, according to police.
Officers responded to a reports of a possible stabbing at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday; the investigation led them to an apartment complex on the 200 block of 37th Avenue. After a door-to-door canvassing of the area, police found a body in an apartment on the 200 block of 36th Avenue. Police said in a social media post Wednesday night that investigators believe the suspect knew the victim, and that they were “attempting to bring the suspect into custody.”
