Andrew Poturalski has appeared in six career NHL games.
The San Jose Sharks announced the team has signed forward Andrew Poturalski to a two-year contract. The deal pays the 30-year-old forward $800,000 at the NHL level and he’ll earn $475,000 in the minors in 2024-25 and $500,000 the following season.Poturalski, 30, dressed in two games with the Seattle Kraken last season, he averaged just under seven minutes of ice time and failed to record a shot.
Seattle originally signed Poturalski to a two-year contract back in the summer of 2022. After dressing in just 38 regular season games with the Firebirds, Poturalski made an impression on the team last in the season, collecting 12 points in 16 Calder Cup Playoff games. He ended up carrying the momentum into training camp and made his two Kraken appearances two months into the season after an early call up.
The Williamsville, NY native’s made his NHL debut with the Carolina Hurricanes back in 2016-17. Poturalski’s nine-year professional career has certainly become quite the journey, including AHL stops in Charlotte, San Diego, and Chicago with the Wolves where he’d record a 100-point season in 2021-22. Looking ahead for San Jose, with another contract in the books, Sharks general manager Mike Grier continues to fill out his roster in what’s been a very busy start to the offseason.
