A student at Willow Glen High School was arrested Wednesday with a loaded gun in his possession, police say.
SAN JOSE — A Willow Glen High School student was arrested Wednesday with a loaded “ghost gun” in his possession, according to San Jose police.
Police said in a tweet around 12:30 p.m. that two school resource officers arrested the student after a brief pursuit. There was no ongoing threat to the school community or the public at large, authorities said. Police were alerted of the incident at 11:57 a.m. “Thanks to the quick actions of these on-campus School Resource Officers, this gun was seized and possibly prevented a tragic event from occurring,” the San Jose Police Department said on Twitter.Units are currently at Willow Glen High School on a report of a student with a firearm on campus.
