SAN JOSE – A house fire sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon in San Jose, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 4:12 p.m. on the 3600 block of Debra Way, near San Tomas Expressway and Moorpark Avenue, according to the San Jose Fire Department. Firefighters found and removed a person from the single-story home. They then performed CPR on the person until an ambulance arrived to take the person to a hospital, said SJFD spokesperson Erica Ray.The blaze was placed under control by 4:40 p.m., according to the fire department.Firefighters are responding to a fire in a single-story, single-family residential structure on the 3600 block of Debra Way. One victim currently being assessed on scene. Please avoid the area.
