SAN JOSE — A man who was suspected of stabbing his three housemates in East San Jose on Wednesday and died in a crash that same day while walking on Highway 85 has been identified by authorities.
The stabbing was reported at 2:09 a.m. at a home on Tehama Avenue near Reid-Hillview Airport, San Jose police said. Valencia Samora was suspected of stabbing three people, all adults, who lived with him in the home. The truck driver told officers that Valencia Samora had jumped in front of the vehicle before the crash, Lee said. The northbound lanes of the freeway was shut down for several hours while CHP conducted their investigation.
