Rain started moving into San Diego's North County on Wednesday afternoon, and it was expected to become more widespread throughout the evening, according to NBC 7 meteorologist Greg Bledsoe.
"Future weather showing scattered showers during the overnight hours, heavy at times, chance for some thunderstorms," Bledsoe said. Most of the rain will arrive Wednesday night and overnight, but a few showers could linger into Thursday.Large area of moderate rain, occasionally heavy, moving across the Greater San Diego area, rainfall rates will increase to 0.15 to 0.30 inches per hour which can cause urban flooding of low lying areasThe snow level will drop below 6,000 feet Wednesday night and could bring a couple of inches to San Diego County's higher mountain locations like Mount Laguna and Palomar Mountain.
