San Diego police investigating fatal shooting in City Heights [Breaking]
One person was fatally shot on a residential street in City Heights late Tuesday morning, San Diego police said.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. on 40th Street between Thorn and Redwood streets. The male victim — whose age was not immediately available — suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said. Footage from a 10News helicopter showed several police vehicles in the area. Homicide detectives were summoned to the scene, police said.
