With the worst run production and batting average in Minor League Baseball, the San Antonio Missions are just 3-6 to open the 2023 season.

During a six-game set against Frisco last week at Wolff Stadium, San Antonio was shut out once and limited to one run on two other occasions, losing four of six in the series. The Missions are 3-6 to open the year with a minus-31 run differential that stands as the worst in the Texas League. Returning to the mound Thursday, Wolf opened with a strikeout but then began to struggle, allowing a double, two walks and a triple to fall into a 3-0 hole. He was pulled from the game with two outs in the second inning, yielding four runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
