Samuel Ross has been invited to create a series of bottles for the 1916 founded Acqua di Parma fragrance house’s most fundamental fragrance Colonia.
Hot on the heels of his limited edition, fiery orange iteration of the Big Bang Tourbillon for LVMH watch brand Hublot—which sold out in under 24 hours—the cerebral British designer Samuel Ross ofThis time Ross has been invited to create a series of bottles for the 1916 founded Acqua di Parma fragrance house’s most fundamental fragrance Colonia. Due for release in 2023, the new collab is one of a slew of upcoming luxury moves that is being prefigured during Art Basel Miami this year.
Caught up with on a call, Ross said that his design for the Italian-founded house has been fundamentally influenced by his own experience designing A Cold Wall between design studios in London and Milan, from which the brand is distributed and manufactured. He added: “The question was how do I think about the ambiance of the sun, a feeling of like a sun-glaze across the cityscape between London to Milan: because I live that journey.
Ross is amongst the many, many names that have been linked with the still-open position to succeed the much-missed
