If a picture is worth a thousand words, then Sam Dameshek’s photos are novels. The LA-based Dameshek has plenty to say on his journey to become such a well-renowned photographer at such a young age.

I started making a small amount of money, but it was a lot for a fourteen- or fifteen-year-old. When I landed on this Instagram community of photographers, that was the moment where I realized, 'Hey, other people are doing this, and they're utilizing social media to share their work.

And that just became my life. Now, I'm just leading it. By senior year, I got a job opportunity to travel the world as a photographer. I knew that it would grow my following, and I was going to make a bit of money, not to mention, see the entire world. So I left high school. I remember I told my Dad,"When I come back, I'm going to enroll back in school. Don't worry, pops."

I hope that I maintain that as I grow up because I'm not Peter Pan. I'm not going to be 22 forever, but I have a feeling I will. I think that's something that's different outside of that. People say that they can spot a Sam Dameshek photo from a mile away. When you're the artist, it's a little harder to know what that means to other people, but it means something, and it resonates differently than a lot of other people's work.

We got to feel we're both on the same page. It has to make sense to the two of us. That's the prominent approach for me. Recently, a newer thing is developing more grandiose concepts in my head and then trying to put together all the puzzle pieces to make those concepts happen where it's different than doing something that's on the much more organic side of things. It's cool for a lot of celebrities. I have a studio in my house.

I started getting an idea of what the behind-the-scenes felt for these people running certain companies. When we first started, we didn't have money to have a design team or anything. Alex and I were shipping and designing everything. We handled customer service. I learned how to do basic coding to build our first website.
