Police want the public to be aware of what to do when someone is caught shuffling through mail that isn't theirs. Police want the public to be aware of what to do when someone is caught shuffling through mail that isn't theirs.
"I've never heard of that happening," Dereck Staffanson, a resident, said. “We try not to leave mail overnight—not with that specifically in mind. There are occasions when packages left on porches are stolen.”Due to the neighborhood’s active neighborhood watch, neighbors hoped this was a one-time thing.
Salt Lake Police want to remind the public that if you happen to see anyone shuffling through your mail, don't put yourself in danger.
