The two-day gathering at SAIT’s Heritage Hall will bring together Indigenous elders from Treaty 6, 7 and 8 territories, and other First Nations representatives. Naidoo said the group will discuss ideas on ways SAIT can work to address those barriers. There will be eight elders in attendance, alongside another four representatives from Indigenous education organizations.The school’s corporate development, advanced research and international department will be geared toward supporting socioeconomic development through training and applied research.
