Boris Johnson is facing calls to apologise after repeating a discredited claim that the opposition leader decided not to prosecute the entertainer while serving as director of public prosecutions. Khan told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that the angry mob’s actions on Monday was proof that ‘words have consequences’.
He added: ‘I’ve got, outside this studio, five police officers, all armed, keeping me safe because of threats to my life.’
