The overpass will feature a multi-use pathway, said Minister of Transportation Rob Fleming, who is also MLA for Victoria-Swan Lake.

The province has announced over $85 million in funding for 11 active-transportation projects across B.C., including an overpass for the Galloping Goose Regional Trail at Tillicum Road.

“This will help even more people in our community be able to safely, reliably and confidently walk, ride and roll to get from point A to B and everywhere in between.” Funding is coming from the Active Transportation Capital Fund. The government did not say how much money each project was getting.
