A town hall was held in the heart of San Francisco's Tenderloin District where residents demanded change in their neighborhood.

District Attorney Brooke Jenkins initiated the town hall to reach out to concerned community members Thursday night. Attendees were divided over how to tackle the problem.

When she took over the District Attorney's office, Jenkins said one of the first steps she took was to try to keep dealers behind bars during the legal process. She claims judges are not taking this issue seriously. "What we hope to get from this is: number one is to change the narrative that they can show up on the streets of San Francisco and do whatever they please and nobody is going to say anything and do anything. Well that day has to end and it has ended," Scott said.
