After months of radio silence following allegations of sexual misconduct, Ryan Adams made a puzzling return to social media
has made a puzzling return to social media. Amid snippets of an album that was previously put on hold by the public scandal—allegations corroborated by ex-wife—Adams claimed, in a lengthy note, that he has “a lot to say. I am going to. Soon. Because the truth matters.” At the same time, Adams told his followers to “Believe Women” and “Believe Truth.”
The lengthy post seems to indicate that Adams wants to tell his side of the sexual misconduct scandal: “I know who I am. What I am. It’s time people know. Past time,” he wrote. He went on to say, “My work was always meant to be a map for the lost. I’ve tried my best to be open and accountable. Not a billboard. I mean, maybe for being flawed. I’ve always wanted to help. I’m trying.
