The Public Utilities Board released its consultation report for its review of petroleum product pricing on the island on Thursday. Consultations will begin soon for Labrador.One of the biggest proposed changes is the potential increase to maximum fuel prices, which were significantly higher for rural and remote parts of Newfoundland.
For gasoline, customers on St. Brendan’s could be looking at an increase of 5.6 cents per litre, and on Fogo Island 5.2 cents, while on the Avalon Peninsula, it would be 0.7 cents per litre.
