RTÉ viewers were surprised when Patrick Kielty said last week that the Late Late Show would not air tonight - but RTÉ have now released a statement explaining the reason
Fans of RTÉ's Late Late Show will be left disappointed tonight because they won't get their usual fix of Patrick Kielty and celebrity guests.
Rugby fans will be pleased with the lack of Late Late, as the show clashed with the Ireland vs New Zealand rugby match tonight, although the match is not going to be broadcast on RTÉ One.Read more: Patrick Kielty rules out full time move to Ireland as he opens up about juggling home life with family According to evoke.ie, RTÉ said: "There will be no Late Late Show on Friday 8th November as Patrick and the team record the New Year's Eve special."
The Kildare native appeared at the film's Irish premiere in Smithfield on Thursday. Also taking place in Smithfield on Thursday was the Paul Mescal lookalike competition, where the winner won €20.
