VICTORIA — Cole Reschny had two goals and two assists, and Justin Kipkie chipped in with three assists as the Victoria Royals grounded the Kelowna Rockets 7-3 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday at Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena.
Markus Loponen, Teydon Trembecky, Brayden Boehm, Kent Isogai and Wyatt Danyleyko also scored for the B.C. Division-leading Royals , who outshot the visitors 35-33. Jakub Stancl, Kalder Varga and Jaxon Kehrig scored for the Rockets , who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 6-1 heading into the third.Elsewhere in the WHL on Tuesday:KENNEWICK, Wash. — Savin Virk scored his third goal of the game 37 seconds into overtime to lift the Tri-City Americans to a 4-3 win over the visiting Prince George Cougars.Carson Carels, Matteo Danis and Evan Groening scored for the Cougars , who trailed 2-1 after the first period and 3-2 heading into the third.
Dawson Seitz also scored for the Wild , who outshot the hosts 43-20. Maddix McCagherty, Tye Spencer and Brendan Dunphy chipped in with two assists each.
